On May 6, RLC Bonn researcher Ahmed Mohamed Abdalla Abdelaal presented a RLC project on “Transition towards sustainable agriculture: The Case of wheat-based production systems in Egypt” in an online colloquium at the Center for Development Research (ZEF).

Ahmed works together with the Heliopolis University of SEKEM close to Cairo which received the Right Livelihood Award in 2003. This project aims to contribute to more sustainable agriculture in Egypt, especially organic wheat production. Ahmed will start his research in the Nile delta together with Heliopolis University as soon as the Corona pandemic allows.
