Every year, the Right Livelihood Award honours people who took a risk that most of us would not. They stopped a pipeline, defended a forest, opened a school, took a government to court. The Right Livelihood College exists so that their work does not end with them.

Across eight campuses on five continents, students and researchers work directly with Laureates: writing theses alongside their organisations, carrying their methods into new countries, and turning hard-won experience into knowledge the next generation can use. It is a small network doing patient, unglamorous work, and it runs on the support of people who think that work matters.

There is no endowment behind this network. Travel grants, student stipends and convenings are funded one at a time, by people who decide they should happen.

  • Host a Laureate at your institution, or co-sponsor an event with a campus near you.
  • Bring your university into the network as an RLC campus.
  • Offer a placement, a supervisor, or a small fieldwork fund for a student in the network.
  • Share the work! The blog and the campus newsletters reach people who go on to join.
