On February 3rd, 2018, the RLC Campus Mumbai held its annual Right Livelihood Public Event with Right Livelihood Laureates Medha Patkar (1991) and Colin Gonsalves (2017). After introductory speeches by RLC Campus Coordinator Dr. Swati Banerjee and TISS Dean Professor Manish Jha, both Laureates talked about the state of the Indian economy and growing disparity among people. Colin Gonsalves argued that poverty and rural distress exist on a large scale in India. Medha Patkar emphasized that unity in diversity is today more relevant than ever. Over 200 students and TISS alumni attended the event.
