RLC Mumbai


The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is an institution of excellence in higher learning in Mumbai, India, which since its inception in 1936, has consistently worked for the promotion of sustainable, equitable and participatory development, social welfare and social justice.

The Centre for Livelihoods and Social Innovation (CLSI), hosted by the School of Social Work, aims to emerge as a learning-cum-innovation centre to develop meaningful livelihood initiatives for the poor and marginalised in the country. The Centre also offers a M.A. Social Work programme in Livelihoods and Social Entrepreneurship. In August 2014, the Centre became a RLC Campus.

In March 2015, the campus hosted the regional conference for Right Livelihood Award Laureates in Asia and Pacific.
